Sep 20th, 2011 - Take to the Roads!

I will make this short and sweet, because you, the reader, the
consumer, the connoisseur of fine musical creations, has better things
to do than listen to me rant. I will be direct, concise and clear in
my thoughts, so as to not confuse the topic. Pudding rat cake divides
quite well, if necessary.
Just ask the links. And with that said, on to something like a blog.

Now that Mickey's (ie-I) is (am) married we've got some music to
play! We'll be hitting a couple of Colorado cities we've never or
rarely been to, and we're doing many of them with our friends in Take
to the Oars
, a kickass band whose bass player, J.P. Manza, just
happens to be recording, mixing and mastering our upcoming EP. Yep,
we're not even recording, it's all him. And while we're on the topic,
the EP is almost done and we'll be releasing it in December! But if
you'd like to see us before then, check out one of our many upcoming
shows! A week from today we're opening for Unwritten Law at the
Marquis. Yes, it's all happening soon. Please check out our shows if you need a Vices fix!

Aug 10th, 2011 - Local Band OnDemand Streaming Interview

We did an interview with the fine folks at Local Band OnDemand over at Mile Hi Radio last Sunday and we had a lot of fun. Click here to download the interview and listen at your convenience! Politics, love, Twilight, music and novels were among the topics discussed. Enjoy!!

May 25th, 2011 - Warped Tour!

We've got a lot of outdoor and festival shows coming up this summer, but we wanna be on one more! It's quite easy. Just head here, create a login, and vote for us every day if you so desire! Thanks in advance and we'll see you this summer!

Apr 4th, 2011 - Awolnation

Hey Vice world,

We've got a lot of exciting things to tell you about, so I'll try to maintain brevity by not going into asides about how Dan got stuck in the lint catcher of his laundry machine last week.

We're very excited to be a part of KTCL's next Freeloader show with AWOLNATION!! Simply text “Freeloader” to 68255 and show your message at the door for FREE admittance to the show. Capacity is limited so please show up early or you won't get it in!

Channel 93.3 Freeloader:
Friday, April 8th
The Bluebird Theater
16+ - 8pm

The next day we'll get to play at one of our favorite haunts from our Fort Collins days, O'Dells brewery! It will be part of The Fort Collins Music Experience, an epic two day festival that will run Friday, April 8th and Saturday, April 9th and will feature 264 artists in various theaters, bars, restaurants and coffee shops all across Fort Collins and the surrounding area.

WE'RE SCHEDULED TO PERFORM AT O'DELLS BREWERY AT 5PM. It is an all-ages venue with some of the best hand-crafted mircobrews you can find. The stage will feature the best in Denver bands with ties to the fair city of Fort Collins. The fantastic My Body Sings Electric will perform on the stage at 2pm and Places will perform at 3:30pm. For the entire schedule, tickets and more info please visit http://www.focomx.org/.

The Student Government Assembly (http://www.mscd.edu/~sga/) at the newly christened “Denver State University” (since when is Denver a state anyway?) has asked us to return to their campus and perform to help raise awareness for their general elections (voting open April 11th-17th). We’ll be performing on the stage in the commons area just outside the Tivoli center. We’ve been told free food, elections schwag and other events will be on hand as well! There will be a good ole’ fashioned SGA debate/showdown prior to our performance.

This is a FREE outdoor show and anyone is welcome to attend.

Take a break from studying, get outside and enjoy some music with us!

Just a couple more things, people. Take a break, have a sip of water, maybe a bite of a granola bar, then keep reading this cause, really, it's funner than your day job. The next order of business is to pat ourselves on the back for having "Sweetest Girl" used in theSeason Premier of The Real World. It's about six minutes in if you follow the link and don't wanna watch 20-somethings drink themselves silly.

We're still working on our upcoming EP, and we're getting very excited about it! Still no solid release date, but we'll keep you posted.

Finally, the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands is starting up again, and we need your votes to make it onto the Warped Tour again! Follow this link, sign up and vote for us every day you can. If you vote often we may even repay you with a prize!

Thanks for stickin through this, everyone! We hope to see you at an upcoming show. Keep up on every minute detail of our lives by "liking" us on facebook, http://www.facebook.com/vicesiadmireband!

Lots has been going on in the world of Vices I Admire. We've started tracking our new EP and are quite excited! Spending an entire day at Colorado Sound Studios with J.P. Manza was awesome, challenging and fun. Check out some pictures from the session here! We've also got a great show coming up, peep out the info below and we hope to see you next Friday, brah! I mean, bro...I mean, friend.

Feb 25th, 2011 - Friday - 7:00pm

Gothic Theater

  • 3263 South Broadway, Englewood CO, 80110 - MAP
  • Yerkish, Vices I Admire, The Foot
  • ALL AGES / Pre-sale - $8, Day of Show - $12

Join us and Yerkish as we help them say farewell to our friend and their long time drummer Ryan. We'd love to see a huge turnout to rightfully send him back into nature. He's been drumming as part of the group for so long he'll need all the support possible to transition back into the human race. Helping us in giving Ryan a proper send-off are the magnificent The Foot.!

Tickets are available pre-sale for 8 dollars on the Gothic's website (12 bucks day of) or you can request some pre-sale tickets from us for $8 with no service fee! Send us a message to learn when and where you can find us for tickets!

The doors open at 7pm and the whole night is not worth missing, as there are surprises abound! Yerkish will have new T-shirts and they'll be raffling off a Yerkish replica drum head signed by the band! This is the first time we have performed at the Gothic in quite a while so don't miss it! Many thanks to the boys in Yerkish for lulling us out of our recording based hibernation to have some fun with them. We hope to see you there!
