Nov 9th, 2009 - The Attack of Vices I Admire - The Politics of Apathy out 1.1.2010

The time has come! We are finally ready to release our sophomore album, The Politics of Apathy. The album is scheduled for release on Friday, January 1st, 2010 at the Bluebird Theater! Check our shows page for more information.

The album will be available on our new website (vicesiadmire.com), i-tunes, Amazon.com and in local record shops on January 1st but we want to give you a sneak peak of the album now! Head over to vicesiadmire.com/music to listen to 2 songs off our new album; Sweetest Girl and Kiss Kiss. Check back often, we will be rotating the songs until the album’s release!

Even more, we are hosting a private listening party at Andrew’s (1111 Lincoln St.) to celebrate the completion of our album and share it with our fans before its official release and you are all invited! Mark your calendars for Friday, December 11th. The event is 21+, guests are welcome and encouraged. The album will be played in its entirety, drink specials shall be bountiful and raffles will be had for a chance to win the new album and VIA merchandise. Come celebrate with us! Did we mention it is free?

This record has been a long time in the making and we can’t thank you enough for all of your support and patience throughout the process. We can’t wait to hear what you think; please drop us a line with your thoughts on the new tunes and our new website at band AT vicesiadmire.com.

Lastly, we will be competing in KTCL’s annual Hometown for the Holidays competition this year. The bands involved get a shot at airplay on KTCL, a sweet opening gig with a national act and much more. We have placed in the top 10 the last 2 years in a row, help us get in the top 3 and win by signing up for KTCL’s music surveys at http://ratethemusic.com/signup.cgi/ktcl. The competition hasn't started just yet but by the time it does it will be too late to sign up to help us out! Please take a couple minutes and sign up now!

We have tons planned for 2010 and we hope to make Denver proud! Stay tuned.

Much love,

We'll also be playing next Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 3 Kings Tavern in Denver with The Eight Bucks Experiment. The Eight Bucks Experiment have been a band since 1995 and were in the movie "SLC Punk" (remember the crazy party scene with the punk band?). This will be a wild night. Sep 22nd, 2009 - LIFEspot Show on Oct. 17th CANCELLED & Zombie Update

Our show at LIFEspot on October 17th with Abandon Kansas has been cancelled. Apparently the venue has shut its' doors for the time being, we were told we would be notified when they "open again".

Sorry for the inconvenience Centennial! We promise it is nothing personal. We are working on more shows as we speak.

In other news, a very important recent study has found that our civilization would be doomed, quite quickly, should a zombie outbreak occur. Luckily for mankind, our band has been adamantly preparing for the Zombacalypse by maintaining a strict regimen of "Left 4 Dead 2" on Xbox 360, developing our chainsaw techniques via daily exercises, frequent viewings of "28 Months Later", enrolling in the "stress management" course at the Y, collecting canned goods, and reading Max Brook's book "The Zombie Survival Guide" three times a piece. Our bomb shelter is coming along nicely as well. We recommend killing anyone you may know with a strong hunger for human flesh immediately. It is best to sever the head or incinerate said person. Avoid exposure to any bodily fluids.

Anywho, you can read more about this important scientifical find here, www.newsoftheweird.com/archive/index.html.

See you October 3rd at the Toad Tavern!

Love,

Vices I Admire
