Jun 25th, 2009 - Misinformation on Big Gig Music Survey...
Hello Friends,
So we have discovered that we have given you a bit of misinformation. Apparently, the deadline to sign up for the music survey that determines who gets to play the locals stage at KTCL’s Big Gig was last Thursday, before the 10 eligible bands were announced.
The decision is in the hands of pre-existing music survey subscribers. If you were already an Area93 Member head on over to http://www.area93.com, log-in, and take the survey before 4pm tomorrow! Vote for our tune “Sweetest Girl” and check out the other 9 local bands in the running. The winners are announced tomorrow at 5pm.
Our apologies (and thanks) go out to any of you who took the time to sign up for KTCL’s music surveys in hopes of voting for us. We’ll post a couple new tunes, including “Sweetest Girl”, on our page in the months to come… stay tuned!
Jun 22nd, 2009 - Help us get on Big Gig '09!!! Sign up for Music Surveys at Area93.com!
Hello Boys and Girls!
We have some exciting developments we would love to share with all of you.
First off, we just received word that we will be playing the Ernie Ball stage on the Denver date of the Warped Tour on
Sunday, August 9th at Invesco Field for the 3rd year in a row! We are freakin’ stoked! Thanks to Ernie Ball and the Warped Tour! You can pick up tickets to the Warped Tour here, http://www.ticketmaster.com/Vans-Warped-Tour-tickets/artist/807329.
On top of that we are 1 of 10 bands in the running to play this year’s Big Gig on July 11th at Fiddler’s Green with the All American Rejects, Goldfinger, Bassnectar, The Spill Canvas, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Single File and Meese. WE NEED YOUR HELP WITH THIS ONE! The winners are chosen via KTCL’s music surveys; sign up for ‘em at http://www.area93.com. Click the “music surveys” link near the top of the main page and follow the instructions to register. IF the survey is available when you sign up (as of now it is not currently available) you will be told you have a survey pending after you complete registration. Otherwise you will be told that no music surveys are available at the moment. BE SURE TO CLICK “YES” when you are asked if you would like weekly emails if you would like a reminder email when the survey is available (recommended). Otherwise you will simply have to check back with the site when the survey is available (it should be ready tomorrow).
Keep an eye on your email! When the survey is ready, check out the local tunes from the 10 bands chosen and vote for our new song “Sweetest Girl”. The song is off our new record, the survey is the only place you can hear the tune… for now. 5 bands are chosen to play Big Gig and the top band is invited to open the show on the main stage! Please help us in exposing ourselves to the masses (insert clever joke here)!!
Our new record, The Politics of Apathy, is nearly complete and will be available for your enjoyment in September. Stay tuned!
We love you Denver!

Jun 11th, 2009 - Studio Sessions - The Politics of Apathy
We are nearly finished with our new record, “The Politics of Apathy”. Nearly. The last couple of years have been a helluva ride but we have made it through and we are proud to say we have put our hearts and souls into this album. We can’t wait for all of you to hear our creation; we think you will really enjoy it.
We have one more day of mixing left. Following the mixing process we shall submit our work to the voodoo-magic process known as mastering. It shall be ready for your ears in mid-September.
Until then we will post tracks from the record on our page to give you all a preview of what we have been working on. We have a ton of stuff in the works right now and it is an exciting time for us. Your continued support is much appreciated. Check out our page for studio pics and more (Denver all ages show just added)!
Don’t miss us next Friday, June 19th at the hi-dive with Vonnegut, the Archive and Tyler Despres. It’s going to be a great show.
Stay tuned and keep in touch. We shall make all of you proud.
Mad props to JP Manza, Ian Pinder and Colorado Sound Studios for making our dreams a reality.

May 18th, 2009 - VIA Captain's Log - May 18th, 2009
We had an absolute blast on Friday in Fort Collins. Much thanks to all of our Fort Collins friends and Other Side of Clearview for inviting us to take part in the celebration of the release of their new album. If you haven’t checked out their new disc, Sweet Release, you should do so very soon. It sounds great! Talented bunch of young chaps they are. And their singer Matt could probably bench-press Mark, despite his love of all things delicious. Impressive.
Serious props to all our friends up north. We love you guys and you represented old school stylie (‘member the Plan b. parties? If you do I’m sure the memories are fuzzy at best).
We just finalized the details on a show here at home. On Friday, June
19th you can catch us at the hi-dive (7 S. Broadway) with Vonnegut and the Archive. Both bands are most excellent. Check em out in our top friends.
We enter the studio in t-minus 7 days. We are freakin’ stoked. The new disc will be out sometime in September. Stay tuned for details and send us good thoughts and love for the next few weeks. We’ll keep our antennas on.
Stay in touch! We have a lot planned for the summer and we want to share it with all of you!
Much love,
