Dec 7th, 2009 - KTCL's Hometown for the Holidays! We made it!
We just got word that we made it in the top 10 for KTCL's annual Hometown for the Holidays competition. There was a three-way tie so there are actually 12 bands in the mix this year. There are some great bands involved; check 'em out here.
Our brand new song Kiss Kiss will be put in regular rotation on KTCL (93.3FM) and the listeners (that's you) decide the top 3 bands/songs. Sign up for KTCL's music surveys here to vote for us! The dealine is this Thursday, December 10th at noon so sign up now!
Should we be selected in the top 3 we will play a live show at Andrew's on Lincoln with the other two bands on Friday, December 18th for a chance to win $1,000 cash, 3 days recording time at the Blasting Room and an opening spot on next year's Not So Silent Night gig! This is a big opportunity for us and we appreciate your help!
We hope to see all of you on Friday at our listening party at Moe's! Email us at band AT vicesiadmire with any questions.
xoxo,

Nov 30th, 2009 - Vice City
Reflecting on Thanksgiving, we have a lot to be thankful for here at the Vices house. Heat, for example. We got to experience a house without heat last week when the band house’s heater broke down, following the law that all of our appliances must break down at least once. So now we are thankful for the balmy sixty three degrees we are afforded now that it’s fixed! We’re also thankful that we’ve got people that dig what we do. And for that, we’re going to give away an advance copy of our new album, The Politics of Apathy! We’ve put up a couple of our new songs at www.vicesiadmire.com/music. Check them out and send us an e-mail (band@vicesiadmire.com) letting us know which song you like best, and we’ll randomly pick one of the entries to send an advance copy! We’ll let you know by December 3rd if you won!
Another great way to get our album is by coming to our cd listening party on Friday, December 11, which has been moved from Andrew's to Moe's (3295 S. Broadway). Moe's has a bar, delicious bbq and a bowling alley. Bing energy drink will be there, and drink specials will be abundant! We will be spinning our new album throughout the evening and hosting raffles for a chance to win our new record and other VIA merchandise. The venue change means all of you younguns are welcome to join us! Moe's admits anyone over the age of 16; under 16 are welcome with a parent or guardian. This is a FREE EVENT and we'll get started at 9pm.
KTCL’s (93.3 FM) Hometown for the Holidays contest is coming up, and it’s a great way for bands to get exposure. We’ve submitted the song Kiss Kiss this year and are very excited about it! Sign up for the radio station’s music surveys, so if we make it to the top ten, you’ll be able to cast your vote and help us win this contest! Simply go to KTCL's website, sign up and wait for the music survey in your e-mail!
This is all leading up to our cd release show on Friday, January 1st at the Bluebird Theater. Print off the ticket below and bring it to the show to get in for only $5! Tickets are also available at all Ticketmaster locations and on Ticketmaster's website. We’ll have giveaways throughout the evening and a night of great music with Other Side of Clearview, Glass Delirium, The Pilot Light! It’s a busy time for us up until the New Year, come down and show some love!

After parting ways with original bassist Robert Marston last year we conducted a grueling 7-month long search for a new bassit. When we added Dan to the fold we had the pleasure of performing our first show back at Moe's. They have been great to us over the years and we are stoked they are now a part of the release of our new album. Thanks Moe's!
Tickets are available for our cd release show on Friday, January 1st at the Bluebird Theater at all Ticketmaster locations and on Ticketmaster's website. You can check out 2 new tracks from the album here. Check back often, we will be rotating the songs throughout December to give you all a taste of the new record!
